Original, Colorado One-Owner Car!

Excellent History

The 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454 has always been a rare and inspiring car–this is an exceptional example of everything that gave these cars the reputation they deserve.

1970 was the only year for the powerful 454 High-Output engine which produced an astounding 450 horsepower. Coupled with the bulletproof Muncie 4-speed transmission and 12-bolt rear axle, these cars came race ready from the factory! (Speculation exists that the advertised power was derated to 450hp while actually making closer to 500! Nevertheless, factory equipped examples were running low 12 second times in the quarter-mile.)

Highly original, this particular car is a terrific example–Not a clone! An original Colorado purchased and owned car, it was the recipient of an owner-restoration around 15 years ago and carefully stored since. With a low 59k miles showing on the odometer, this 54 year old icon is still just being broken in! Purchased with options such as the vacuum operated Cowl Induction hood scoop, factory A/C and bucket seats, this remains one of the most sought after American muscle cars ever. Running and driving exceptionally well, this beautiful Second Generation A-body is ready for the road… and the summer cruise circuit, of course!
