Considered to be one of the most beautiful Grand Touring cars of all time, The Maserati Ghibli was designed by the man who was named the Car Designer of the Century,  Giorgetto Giugiaro, during his time with the design house Ghia. Named after a North African desert wind, the Ghibli is truly a masterpiece of design with some of the best proportions ever conceived on a front engine automobile. The stunning looks are not the Ghibli’s only winning attribute. Equipped with  a powerful 4.7 liter V8 engine, the Ghibli is fast enough to compete with any grand touring car of its era. With its V8 engine, the sound of a Ghibli at full throttle is almost as alluring as the car’s incredible body.

This example is a very early production Ghibli, finished in a classic red over black. The car has been cosmetically restored with an interior that is still original. Mechanically, the car will need some servicing, but the drive-line is strong and the engine runs remarkably well. This car is fitted with a 5 speed manual transmission and it also came with the original Campagnolo rims with Boranni three tier knockoffs. With freshly restored Ghibli’s bringing well in the $180,000 range,  this example is a driver for a very reasonable price.
