A Monterey Car Week to Remember

Our Maserati Moment

On Friday, August 15, 2025, moments that define our passion and dedication unfolded at RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction, hosted this year at the iconic Portola Hotel and Monterey Conference Center, marking its 28th edition on the peninsula. There, our lovingly restored 1961 Maserati Vignale Spyder crossed the block and sold for an inspiring $863,000. Against a backdrop of glitzy marquee sales (including a $26 million Ferrari Daytona SP3 “Tailor Made” benefiting charity) and a striking 87% sell-through rate totaling $163.8 million in sales, our success shone as a testament to the craftsmanship and sincerity behind our restoration work.

A Weekend of Racing Heritage & Elegance

The excitement didn’t end at the block. We stepped into the roar of vintage motorsport at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, held August 13–16 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. As the official sanctioning body, Historic Sportscar Racing celebrated its fifth anniversary, presenting a captivating display of historic racing where cars truly do what they were built for, gracefully unleashed on the twisting Corkscrew track. Racing history came alive around every corner, reminding us of the power of heritage on every curve.

Our journey culminated on the hallowed putting green of Pebble Beach, site of the world’s most prestigious classic car event. The 74th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance brought together 229 extraordinary automobiles, all vying for the ultimate title. The Best of Show honor went to the “Tulipwood Torpedo”—the spectacular 1924 Hispano-Suiza H6C Torpedo, a mahogany-bodied marvel of craftsmanship and ingenuity. Its remarkable use of marine-grade materials, like 1/8-inch mahogany strips assembled over plywood with thousands of rivets, and an interior featuring 50 alligator hides, captured both our attention and our admiration. This refined embodiment of artistry on wheels echoed our own reverence for restoration executed with heart and authenticity.

Monterey Car Week 2025 offered a tapestry of automotive excellence—from the emotional high of selling our beloved Spyder, to the visceral thrill of vintage racing, and the elegant spectacle of Pebble Beach’s lawn. It was more than a weekend; it was a celebration of artistry, history, and the timeless allure of great cars.
