We’re excited to share with you our latest project, a one of 242, stunning 1962 Maserati Vignale Spyder, a true masterpiece of Italian design and engineering. This car has not been offered to the public for over 50 years.
Crafted with the exquisite design language of the early ’60s, this Maserati Vignale Spyder is more than just a car; it’s a piece of art. Designed by Giovanni Michelotti for Carrozzeria Vignale, this model is renowned for its breathtaking aesthetics, from its sleek lines to its luxurious interior. Under the hood lies a powerful engine that embodies Maserati’s racing heritage, offering not just a ride, but an experience.
In 2013, during a casual lunch meeting with a friend I brought up the subject of an elusive Maserati. He finally revealed that it was tucked away in a semi-trailer, hidden beneath a mountain of Rover and Alfa Romeo parts. The car was so deeply buried that it was almost impossible to see.
The Vignale Spyder was a sight to behold, with its body and chassis impeccably preserved and free of any corrosion. We meticulously documented all parts and were thrilled to find that 98% of the original components were still intact. We eagerly sought and received verification from the Maserati factory regarding its originality and were overjoyed to learn that it still housed its original engine.
While we are dedicated to completing the restoration of this magnificent vehicle, we understand that there are enthusiasts and collectors who might wish to take on such a prestigious project themselves. Therefore, we are offering the unique opportunity to acquire this 1962 Maserati Vignale Spyder as it is now, allowing you to either personally oversee its restoration or collaborate with us to bring your vision to life.
The body, metal, and paint have all been meticulously restored.
The suspension is completely new, restored, and assembmeld .
The engine and transmission have been fully rebuilt by our in-house master specialist builder and are mostly detailed. The engine has been test run and oil pressure has been checked.
The Borrani rims are fully restored.
Chrome plating has been completed
A custom-made windshield has been procured.
We have purchased premium Connolly hides for the interior.
